NOTICE - PLUMBING AND GAS
Due to staff reductions the inspections and counter
hours for plumbing and gas will be part time. The
hours will be as follows:
Monday and Wednesday
8:30 to 9:30 Counter Hours
9:30 to 4:00 Inspections
4:00 to 5:00 Counter Hours
Tuesday and Thursday - No Hours or inspections
Friday
8:30 to 9:30 Counter Hours
9:30 to 12:00 Inspections
Persons requesting permits should come in on the days
where counter hours are available. Do not anticipate services
from other inspectors. Do not plan or request an inspectional
time that is not apparent in the above schedule. Regardless
of the circumstances we will not be calling in the Plumbing
and Gas inspector for additional hours.
If Plumbing and Gas is part of your larger project then plan
accordingly, the other inspectors working on your project ,
for other trades, will not review permits or conduct these inspections.
We will only take in Plumbing and Gas permits on
the days with counter hours as indicated above.

BUILDING DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY FOR 2010-2011
Inspectors' office hours are:
8:30-9:30AM & 4:00-5:00PM, Monday-Friday
The Building Division is located in the front of the Town Hall at 33 Geremonty Drive. The inspectors are available in the office from 8:30-9:30AM and 4:00-5:00PM, Monday through Friday. This time is for anyone wishing to have a permit issued. Between the hours of 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM the inspectors are conducting inspections in the field.
The building division is responsible for overseeing construction within its jurisdiction by implementation and enforcement of local codes and ordinances so as to provide for minimal standards to ensure the public health, safety, and welfare relative to new construction, the maintenance of existing buildings, and to safely secure life and property from the hazards incident to the occupancy of buildings.
Mike DiBartolomeo is the Building Inspector and issues permits for new homes, residential renovations and alterations, three season porches, garages, commercial buildings and commercial renovations, alterations, in-law apartments, accessory apartments and other related building needs. Mike also may provide technical expertise relative to code requirements for the private and non-private sectors.
Blake Miller is the Electrical Inspector. Blake issues permits for all electrical work. Blake also issues permits for all sheds, decks, pools, and signs and performs required inspections to ensure code compliance. Blake also may provide technical expertise relative to code requirements for the private and non-private sectors.
Samuel Zannini, Jr. is the Plumbing and Gas Inspector. This position is now part time. These permits will only be accepted, reviewed and issued during counter hours on the alloted days of work (see above). Inspections will only be done according to the Inspectors part time hours.
Pamela Rochon Russell is the Administrative Secretary. Pam provides secretarial support to the divisions administrative and inspectional staff.
In addition, the Building Division enforces the zoning ordinance. The Division has separate plumbing, gas and electrical specifications that are more stringent than the state codes require permits and inspections for the installation, repair and/or replacement of equipment and systems within their jurisdiction.
