HSI Victim Notification Program
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) are committed to protecting the public and ensuring the rights of victims are carefully observed. HSI administers a Victim Notification Program which allows eligible victims and witnesses to obtain reliable information regarding a criminal alien's release from custody. Victims and witnesses are required to register with HSI in order to receive notification of a criminal alien's release. HELP FOR THOSE WITH AUTISM, ALZHEIMERS AND OTHER COGNITIVE CONDITIONS
SafetyNet by Lojack and the Salem Police Department are partnered in bringing loved ones home safely. The program is designed to help individuals with autism, Alzheimers, dementia and other similar cognitive conditions who wander and can not find their way home.

Rabies and Microchip Clinic
Open to the public & volunteers. March 29th & April 26th from 9 am - Noon at the Salem Animal Rescue League, 4 SARL Drive.
1-year rabies $12
3-year rabies $15 (must present prior signed rabies certificate to get a 3 -year vaccine).
Microchip w registration- $20
ALL dogs MUST be on a leash and ALL cats MUST in carriers. Appointments are on a first come, first serve basis.

Directions for Prescription Pill Drop
The Salem Police Department has established a drop box for unused/expired medication as a way for persons to dipose of these medications properly. The pill drop box is located in the lobby of the Salem Police Department and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Service Administration's National Survey, more than seven million Americans currently abuse prescrition drugs. The Partnership for a Drug Free America estimates each day, approximately 2,500 teens use prescription drugs to get high for the first time. Studies show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including the home medicine cabinet.
