Summer Employment

LIST OF SUMMER EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Applications are accepted for the following Summer positions beginning in February of each year.  Currently, these positions have been filled:

  • Playground Director: (6-13 years old) 20 to 24 hours per week, Monday thru Friday. Individuals to plan weekly schedule of activities and oversee playground operations.

     

  • Playground Leader: (6-13 years old) 20 to 24 hours per week, Monday thru Friday. Individuals will assist in running activities and help to supervise field trips, etc.

     

  • Lifeguard: 30 to 35 hours per week. Individual responsible for beach area. Applicant must have Advanced Lifesaving Certification. Experience as a Lifeguard preferred.

     

  • Sports Camp Director: 25 to 30 hours per week. Individual to plan, organize and supervise a sports camp program. Instructs participants in the proper form and technique of the designed sport.

     

  • Sports Camp Instructor: 25 to 30 hours per week. Individual to assist with the sports camp program. Help to instruct participants in the proper form and technique of the designed sport. Also plan and organize special events for the summer playgrounds one day per week at the designated playgrounds.

     

  • Tennis Instructor: Summer session: 20 to 25 hours per week for an eight-week session.

     

HOURLY RATES VARY WITH POSITION. Apply at Recreation Department, Town Hall, 33 Geremonty Drive, Salem, New Hampshire.
